At Shalom Extra Miles Education Center, we are a dedicated team passionate about nurturing every child’s growth - mind, heart, and spirit. Founded by Miss Zoe, who brings over 7 years of teaching experience and a deep commitment to faith-based education, our center serves the Indianapolis community by providing a safe, welcoming home daycare environment rooted in Christian values.

With a collective background in early childhood education and a shared mission to support families, we work closely together to create meaningful learning experiences that help children build strong character, academic skills, and a joyful love of discovery.

Meet Our Founder & Lead Educator

Founder’s Story

Miss Zoe is the founder of Shalom Extra Miles Education Center. She started this center because she loves helping people through education. Growing up in a third-world country, Miss Zoe saw how learning could change lives. This inspired her to help her community through teaching. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Education from Grand Canyon University and is now working on her master’s degree in Elementary Education at Ball State University.

Experience in Education

Miss Zoe has more than seven years of teaching experience. She taught at Arizona Chin Church, where she was also a youth leader and helped with worship and leadership programs. She has worked as a kindergarten teacher assistant, helped as a preschool interpreter, and completed many student teaching hours. These experiences gave her a strong background in helping students grow academically, socially, and spiritually.

Community Connections

Miss Zoe speaks four Chin dialects. This helps her talk with many families and build strong relationships. She cares deeply about creating a loving, faith-based place where children feel safe and can do their best in school and in life.

Personal Life and Vision

In her free time, Miss Zoe enjoys road trips, reading, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Her dream for Shalom Extra Miles Education Center is to help every child grow and succeed, and also to support parents as they raise their children in a new country.
